It's been 30 years since G-Shock hit the international market and became the must-have watch on the wrist of every trendy person in Bangkok. To celebrate the milestone, Pichai Chirathivat, CEO of Central Marketing Group, hosted a party titled Shock the World Bangkok 2013 as part of a global celebration under the Shock the World campaign. The event was held at Sonic Ekamai. By 6pm, G-Shock fans were arriving at the venue, with the requisite items: invitation, ID card (to show guests were over 20 years of age) and their favourite G-Shock watch from their private collections.

Before entering, everyone was stamped with the words "Shock the World Bangkok 2013" on their wrists to prevent gatecrashers.
