The room looked dull at first glance. But when the music came on, there was no room for boredom. Women were ready to move. A warm-up of gentle movements of the upper body accompanied by rhythmic steps was performed. When the music increased in tempo, there was fluid motion across the floor.
The highlight of the performance came when participants tried to control abdominal muscles in isolation and small, fast, continuous movements of the hips vibrated through the bottom and the thighs to the beat of drums. The chiming sound of the coins on their belts, induced by swipes and shimmies, made the performance enjoyable for participants and spectators alike.
