Ever since the first boarding schools in the US were founded nearly 250 years ago, they have prepared students for admission to the finest universities.
The US Boarding Schools Fair will take place at Bangkok’s Four Seasons Hotel on Nov 9.
This remains true to this day, as boarding schools continue to foster special relationships with Ivy League schools and other highly competitive universities.
For most students, boarding school is a four-year commitment; for some, it can help fill a gap between graduation from secondary school and placement in a US university.
Some representatives of leading US boarding schools will be in Bangkok on Nov 9 to discuss placement opportunities for Thai students.
A seminar will be held in the ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, followed by a fair, which will run until 3.30pm.
This is an opportunity for Thai students and their parents who are looking for an American school that fits their educational plans to obtain information and advice about the application process and the nature of a boarding-school education directly from representatives of 36 such establishments.
There is no admission fee. To register, visit www.boardingschools.com/bangkok. For more information, call 02-684-1551/2 ext 12 or 23.
