The Friends-of-the-Arts Foundation will present an evening with talks, a film, a workshop and performances at the Indian Cultural Centre tomorrow.

Held as part of the “Manohra Series” of performing arts projects, the event is called “Evolution of Yoga to Contemporary Dance” and will feature guest speakers and artists including Adrian Cox, founder and director of Yoga Elements Studio, Bangkok; yoga teacher Kaweena Pachimsawat; May Yimsai, a leading Thai contemporary dancer; and Ustad Vasi Ahmad Khan, one of the best tabla players in India.

The evening will start at 6pm with a screening of a film on early developments in yoga, followed by a talk on the practice and its benefits for the health and the mind. Then Adrian Cox will lead a yoga session for participants to practise a few yoga moves alongside him.
