Beautiful fish whose colours match the jerseys of top teams competing in this year’s World Cup tournament will be the highlight of the 26th Pramong Nomklao Fair, which opens today at Future Park, Rangsit.

The theme for this year’s edition of the annual expo of fancy fish and rare aquatic animals is “The Amazing Colours of Fifa World Cup 2014”. On display will be species whose markings resemble the colours of high-flying national football teams.

They will include the blue streak hap (pla kluay hom in Thai) chosen for its resemblance to the tops worn by
the Brazil team, the red swordtail (pla hang dab) for Spain, the clownfish for the Netherlands, the molly for England, comet for Germany, and the red platy for Portugal.
