To highlight the festive mood, Songyote Weohongsa, host of the Thursday Movie Talk programme at Thammasat University's Pridi Banomyong Library, has picked Joyeux Noel (Merry Christmas ), a French film that depicts truce on the frontline on Christmas eve during World War I, for his audience.

A 2005 work by Christian Carion, starring Diane Kruger, Benno Furmann, and Guillaume Canet, won critical acclaim and was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards.

The screening takes place this Thursday at 5pm, followed by a brief discussion. Free admission.
