The Manhattan skyline.

Strip The City

uses stunning CGI to strip major cities naked — peeling the glass off buildings, rolling back the tarmac of roads and draining harbours dry — exposing the hidden infrastructure beneath New York City, Chicago, Venice, Tokyo, New Orleans, Paris, Machu Picchu and Los Angeles.

What keeps New York's skyscrapers standing during deadly storms? How can Tokyo survive sitting on one of the most seismically active areas on Earth? The series also explores how engineers in Paris are expanding its huge underground Metro network and how the Superdome of New Orleans stands strong against the world's deadliest hurricanes.

Strip The City will reveal a world never seen before —
a fascinating geological universe normally hidden by our cities.
