SOCIAL & LIFESTYLE

It's a golden match made in heaven between these two brands of healthy sweet treats. Perfect to reach for an energising breakfast or when the sugar craving kicks in, both taste great alone, but even better together. The second-best part, after their great taste that actually fills the tummy, is they can be delivered right to your doorstep in a jiffy — no more excuses for not eating clean! We've skipped most of the boring details such as live bacteria names, cholesterol count and such since both claim there's no fat anyway, so normal humans can grasp the whole concept easier without the scientific gibberish.

Diamond Grains

It's delightful crunchiness and sweetness from unrefined cane sugar and unrefined flour makes you wonder how something this delectable can be healthy. But it is. The base is the same for every flavour — in each perfectly-portioned plastic cup are cashew nuts, crispy oats and perilla seeds. If you've never tried it before, these munchable seeds are a particular joy to discover.

Choose between the different flavours to snack on between Hearty Nutty, Tropical Rich, Summer Berry, Double Chocolate, Matcha Green Tea, Coffee Forever or Banana Nana. The calories per cup goes up to 170 tops, even in flavours like Double Chocolate, where dark chocolate powder and chips are used. The addictive and crunchy granola feels like a treat in itself, but extra dried fruits or coffee powder makes it all even more fun.

- Diamond Grains is available at 28 baht per cup at Bai Miang shops. Small delivery box (6 cups) is 150 baht and value box (12 cups) is 280 baht.

Innocent Cow

Simply put, this yoghurt to be 10 times thicker than your usual 15 baht fare from 7-Eleven. Even without any milk powder or thickeners, Innocent Cow's natural Greek yoghurt can make you thirsty for water, with it's heavy and coarse creaminess that has no added sugar. Thick with proteins, there's hardly more than 90 calories in the small cups, with no fat and cholesterol at all. If you must know, there are five live bacteria's included to help you with digestion.

Greek yoghurt beginners should go for the strawberry flavour — the only one to have oats mixed inside, which makes for a less intense mouth-feel. The matcha flavour is also quite enjoyable; pair it up with Diamond Grain's Matcha Green Tea grains for a complete green tea combo. Otherwise, the latte flavour is another that offers slight tastes and aromas that somewhat cancels out the yoghurt's sourness. If you don't like flavours, the original or vanilla bean make great companions to fresh fruits, salads or even as bases for creamy sauces.

- Small cups (50 baht) and large cups (100 baht) are available at Bai Miang shops and Villa Supermarket (Sukhumvit 33, J-Avenue, Rama 3, Rama 9 and K-Village only).
