Suppose you want to get out of town for the day with a plan that includes a meal at an ordinary restaurant, nothing fancy, but with good food at reasonable prices. Also on the list of wants is the opportunity to enjoy a pleasant rural atmosphere, and perhaps a chance to see ancient sites and check out local arts and handicrafts. One destination that checks all of those boxes is Pathum Thani.
DEHYDRATED: Wat Singh was heavily damaged in the floods but has now been repaired.
Pathum Thani is a big province that can be divided into two sections. Through one of these runs the Asian Highway, which comes up from Malaysia, passes through Rangsit and continues on to the North. This is the part of Pathum Thani that sees the full impact of Bangkok's expansion. The highway is joined by other important roads as it passes through the province and several industrial estates and small factories have been built along it as it goes through Rangsit and on to Nakhon Nayok. The number of developments seems to grow every day.
