Knowing where to find the right prepared sauces, condiments, dried chillies and the like is often the difference between a good meal and a great one; here are some pointers in the right direction
Cooks need three things to prepare any given dish: the right cooking equipment, prepared ingredients including condiments and sauces, dried chillies and the like, and fresh ingredients such as meat, fish and vegetables.

If the result is to be tasty and worth the time spent in the kitchen, all three must be of good quality. The more demanding the cook is with regard to the flavour of the food, the greater the effort to be made in seeking out the best.
