You've all heard — if you're not already a member — of GuavaPass (guavapass.com) by now. In case you haven't, it's this fantastic fitness pass that lets you attend unlimited classes from muay Thai to CrossFit, so you'll never have to be stuck in a workout rut. We catch up with New Yorker Emma Harris who is the VP of Global Brand Strategy and GM of GuavaPass Bangkok; she tells us about setting up in Thailand, her passions and what kind of adrenaline-filled adventures she wants ticked off her bucket list.

What's been the most challenging part of setting up GuavaPass in Bangkok?

The most challenging part has honestly been learning to manage my time. There is always more work to be done and it's hard for me to step back sometimes. Having said that, there have also been so many rewarding moments, too, like watching an idea grow into a reputable business operating in nine countries (in just one year!) that encourages people to live a healthier lifestyle. This is rewarding beyond words. Walking into the office everyday and seeing my passionate, hard-working team also makes it all worthwhile.

Can we expect to see GuavaPass in other big cities in Thailand?

GuavaPass has just launched with four studios in Phuket and we will add more studios there soon. If we continue to receive positive feedback in Phuket then we will look to expand into the other big cities across Thailand.

Do you think Bangkok, as a city, can do more to encourage a healthier lifestyle? Are there any changes you'd like to see in the near future?

I believe the idea of healthy-living is still in its infancy in Bangkok; people here are still being educated on the importance of maintaining an exercise schedule and a balanced diet, among other things. There are many new healthy food delivery services and boutique fitness studios opening which help educate and support the healthy lifestyle movement here. I would love to see more healthy and organic cafes. I find that it's still not easy to get a delicious -- and healthy -- green salad in Bangkok.

Were you always into sports?

When I was younger, I always took dance classes but didn't really enjoy competitive sports. My first yoga class was at the age of 16 and I was instantly hooked. I have been a religious yoga practitioner (and now teacher too) since then. In New York, group Pilates and HIIT classes also became a part of my routine.

We know how easy it is to have that extra hour lie-in when you could be working out, what's your tip on staying motivated?

Just think back to that feeling you get after an awesome workout. It always works for me and it's always worth it.

Three studios you frequent in Bangkok that we shouldn't miss.

Yogatique, Energy Bootcamp and Cheeks Muay Thai.

Any yoga pose you're trying to master this year?

Scorpion!

What's on the top of your bucket list?

It's a tie between trekking in Nepal and scuba diving around Komodo Island in Indonesia!
