South Korean singer/songwriter/dancer Taeyang will return to the Kingdom with "Taeyang 2017 World Tour [White Night] In Bangkok", at Impact Challenger Hall 1, Muang Thong Thani, on Saturday, at 7pm.
This is the second time the lead vocalist of Big Bang, one of the bestselling boy bands in the world, has gone solo in his second world tour to promote his third album, White Night.
Reputed for his groovy body movement and soulful voice, the 29-year-old heartthrob pursued a solo career in 2008, releasing his first extended play, Hot, which won the award for Best R&B Soul Album at the 6th Korean Music Awards. His first studio album, Solar, released two years later, carried the famous singles, I Need A Girl and Wedding Dress, both of which peaked at No.1 on the Gaon Charts.
Released in 2014, his second studio album Rise was the third highest charting K-pop album and also the highest charting K-pop album by a Korean soloist on the Billboard 200 chart.
It included the instant hit singles Ringa Linga, whose performance video and MV garnered more than 138 million YouTube views and the greatest hit, Eyes, Nose, Lips, that topped the K-Pop Hot 100 chart and became the second best-performing single of 2014.
Since its release in the middle of last month, the eight-track White Night has received a great response from fans from all over the world, topping the real time chart in Korea and conquering No.1 iTunes charts in 23 countries, including Thailand.
Taeyang won several distinctive awards including the Best R&B/Soul Album and Best R&B/Soul Song awards in the 7th Korean Music Awards, and the Best Male Artist Award in the 2014 MAMA.
