Emerging Thai pianist Tipwatoo "Pin" Aramwittaya will give a piano recital featuring a programme of great Russian music at Sala Sudasiri Sobha concert hall, Lat Phrao 41 on Saturday Dec 15 at 4pm.

Held as part of the "Thai Talents At Sala Sudasiri Sobhat" series, the evening concert will feature works by two great Russian composers in a programme that includes selections of Scriabin's Preludes Op 11, selections of Rachmaninov's Preludes And Etude Tableaux, as well as Rachmaninov's two transcriptions of works by Kreisler -- Liebesleid and Liebesfreud.

A graduate with a degree in biomedical science who decided to take her piano performance to the next level, Tipwatoo made a Bangkok debut recital in 2014 and it was a huge success. That was followed by her winning third prize at the Osaka International Music Competition.

She was selected to be part of the third Rebecca Penney's Piano Festival in Tampa, Florida, where she worked with numerous leading pianists. At the prestigious Royal College of Music, London, she has been selected to perform in several concerts, including the 150-years Bach-Busoni concert and the Keyboard Music Festival.

Currently, she holds two master's degrees from the Royal College of Music. She is also the pianist of Bun-Leng, a saxophone-piano trio that explores a classical and contemporary saxophone repertoire.

Tickets cost 700 baht, inclusive of reception after the concert. Proceeds will go toward the Gift of Life Foundation to help blood-disease patients with financial difficulties, together with the Bone Marrow Transplant Club, Chulalongkorn Hospital.
