Yale University's world-famous singing group, The Whiffenpoofs, will return to Bangkok for two exclusive nights, playing Sukosol Hotel's Rattanakosin Room on March 15 at 8.30pm, and the Siam Hotel's Opium Den on March 16 at 7.15pm.

See the latest line-up of the world's oldest collegiate a cappella group, as the 14 talented Yale students delight local audiences during the Thai leg of their annual three-month world tour, which includes more than 200 performances.

Expect to hear The Whiffenpoof Song, the group's signature ballad. The song was first published in 1909 and has been covered many times, becoming a nationwide hit for Rudy Vallee in 1937. Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong and Elvis Presley have also recorded versions of the tune.

In recent years, The Whiffenpoofs have performed for several US presidents, Mother Teresa and the Dalai Lama, in venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center and the Rose Bowl, and for events and programmes such as the World Series, Saturday Night Live, The West Wing, NBC's The Sing-Off and Fox's Glee.

Tickets for the first show cost 699 baht including one standard cocktail or mocktail (499 baht for students including one mocktail) and 1,699 baht including cocktail/mocktail and a pre-show seafood buffet dinner. Tickets for the second show cost 1,500 baht including free-flow cocktails and canapés, plus a 10% discount on dinner at Chon Restaurant.

Seats are strictly limited for both shows. Sukosol Hotel is on Si Ayutthaya Road and The Siam Hotel is on Khao Road.
