Indie scene gets a boost as site goes live

Indie-mainstream fans can now stop whining about the lack of a tight music community and good live-band culture here. For Yutthana Boon-aom's Godung project is hoping to fill those gaps as well as organise lots more stimulating activities for locals who are adventurous about music.

With support from Tiger Translate, Godung, operating under GMM Grammy's Gayray division, aims to become a one-stop music service through www.godung.com and its numerous offline activities, which include three major concerts, slated for next year, mini concerts and a monthly music club.

"We've done a focus group, and the general public often associates the term 'indie' with difficult, inaccessible music, when in reality it is not so.
