The Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger is teaming up with producer Brian Grazer (J. Edgar) for an upcoming James Brown biopic.

The as of yet untitled movie will be directed by Tate Taylor (The Help) and will be based on a script by Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth (Fair Game).
The question remains of who will be able to take to the stage in the Godfather of Soul's outrageous outfits. When Spike Lee was looking to adapt the performer's life on the big screen, he had singled out Eddie Murphy alongside singers Usher and Chris Brown.
With Spike Lee's project now out of the picture, the door is now open for Brian Grazer to produce the project he had been trying to promote for years, since long before James Brown's death on December 25, 2006
