Spotify welcomes celebrity users, strikes deal with Metallica

Music streaming service Spotify is launching a new tool for recommendations coming from the friends and artists that users follow. Musicians and other celebrities are now invited to share the tracks they really like.

Soon, users will be able to "subscribe" to various profiles, whether from friends or the ranks of celebrity users. Some of the first major celebrities to get on board are Barack Obama, Paul McCartney, Slash, Justin Bieber, and David Guetta.
