Snoop Lion/Dogg tries to wai

Snoop Lion, the West Coast rapper formerly known as Snoop Dogg, is visiting Phuket, and was photographed at the Sri Panwa resort in Panwa.

Like many tourists, Mr Dogg - who has changed his stage name to Snoop Lion - tried his hand at the Thai wai.

    With his underachieving track record of a mere 30 million in record sales, plus numerous film appearances and a portfolio of TV shows to his name, Calvin Broadus, Jr must be gutted to know that he can’t even ‘wai’ properly. It has to be his prodigious use of marijuana [for which he is famous] that makes him such a perpetual loser, I guess?

    My impression is that many Thais are happy if farangs just try to wai them like they try to speak Thai. Sure, many of us are far away from being good or perfect but it’s the attitude that counts, or not?
