The romantic and much-loved musical, The Phantom Of The Opera, will be staged in Bangkok for a strictly limited season at Muang Thai Rachadalai Theatre from May 7 to June 9. The show time is Tuesday to Sunday at 7.30pm, plus a 2pm matinee on weekends. The world-renowned musical with Andrew Lloyd Webber's unforgettable score will come with spectacular sets and dazzling special effects that will bring the legendary love story into life.

The Phantom Of The Opera will be staged at Muang Thai Rachadalai Theatre daily at 7.30pm (except Mondays), plus a2pmshow on weekends, from May 7 to June 9. Tickets cost 1,500, 2,500, 3,000, 4,000 and 5,500 baht from Thai Ticket Major (tel 02-262-3838 or www.thaiticketmajor.com).

It tells the story of a disfigured musical genius known only as "The Phantom" who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House.

Mesmerised by the talents and beauty of a young soprano, Christine, the Phantom lures her as his protege and falls fiercely in love with her.

With spectacular sets and more than 230 costumes by an international designer, the late Maria Bjornson, the musical contains some of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most famous songs, including The Phantom Of The Opera and Music Of The Night.

As the longest-running musical on Broadway, The Phantom Of The Opera recently celebrated its 25-year anniversary and has won more than 50 major theatre awards, including seven Tony Awards.

Muang Thai Rachadalai Theatre is located at The Esplanade on Ratchadaphisek Road.
