LIVE MUSIC/EXHIBITION

A highlight of La Fete, the French cultural festival going on for the next month around town, is Limousine Siam Roads on Wed (May 29). The project is a musical fusion between French outfit Limousine and Thai folk musician Yodh Warong that resulted in a genre-bending EP. Bangkok-based Frenchie photographer Agnes Dherbeys followed the musicians around Isan as they recorded the EP and her photos will be on show. Tickets are B500 at the door. Venue is Sonic (90 Sukhumvit Soi 63, between Ekamai Soi 10 and Big C, 02-382-3395, tinyurl.com/ajozswa). Music starts at 8pm.

EXHIBITION

Find your right seat on Sat (May 25) at Chair-acter: A Chair Exhibition, which features 12 realisations of chairs by 12 Chula design students. For a calming end to the weekend, Apple Jam Cinema will crank up the projector again on Sun (May 26) to screen Mientras Duermes (Sleep Tight), a film by Jaime Balaguero. It's presented by the Spanish Embassy and Le Cool Bangkok. Entry is free. Film is in Spanish with English subtitles; starts at 6pm. Venue is Jam Cafe (41 Soi Rong Nam Kang, Charoen Rat Soi 1).

On Thu (May 30), the Coconuts Bangkok website is celebrating its redesign with an aptly named #Cocoparty. Music will come from Aim and Boo from Slur, Club Soma and Logan Bay. Dress code is "jungle chic", which might stretch the wardrobe. Party opens its public doors at 9pm. Venue is Sonic (90 Sukhumvit Soi 63, between Ekamai Soi 10 and Big C, 02-382-3395, tinyurl.com/ajozswa). Entry = free = fun. We will be there.
