Feel the pulse of La Valse

The Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) will perform one of Maurice Ravel's most popular works, La Valse, during the "French Music" concert at the College of Music, Mahidol University, on Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 4pm.

Peter Bruns will join the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra in the ‘French Music’ concert at Mahidol University’s College of Music on Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 4pm.

The TPO's principal guest conductor, Claude Villaret, will be joined on this programme by Peter Bruns, one of Germany's leading cello soloists.

He will perform Jacques Offenbach's Concerto Militaire for Cello and Orchestra in G Major.

Bruns has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in renowned concert halls throughout Europe, America and Asia.

His fascination with the language of music and the instrumentation of various stylistic periods has led to close collaboration with renowned orchestras, with whom he has played for CD productions, concerts and festivals.

He plays on a cello from Carlo Tononi, Venice 1730, which was once owned by the legendary Spanish cellist Pablo Casals.
