Sonic Boom to put the bang in Bangkok

Bangkok is hosting a world-class music festival, which will feature dozens of leading artists from around the world.

Organised by BEC-Tero and Singha Corporation, "Sonic Bang" is a one-day event packed with over 30 artists performing live across six stage at Impact Arena and Exhibition Halls 1-4, Muang Thong Thani, on Aug 24 from 10am till midnight.

Flying in to play will be Jason Mraz, Pet Shop Boys, Pitbull, Placebo, Ash, Owl City and Sheppard. They will perform alongside famous Asian artists such as Scandal, Miyavi, Jam Project and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu from Japan, Epik High from Korea, and Love Me Butch from Malaysia.

Artists from Thailand include Slot Machine, Flure, Tor+ Saksit, Stamp, Lipta, Room 39, Scrubb, Gale, Sugar Eyes, Buddha Bless, Southside, Kratae and Bai-Toey R-Siam, as well as DJ Jay Montonn Jira, DJ Ono, DJ Bee Futon, DJ Suharit Siamwalla, DJ Seed Norasate, and many more.

Besides performances on the Bang!, Boom!, Wow!, Pow!, Park and Silent Disco stages, there will also be plenty of other activities going on off-stage.

The festival is expected to be an annual event in Bangkok.
