Thais can dance their socks off _ especially when it comes to K-pop cover dances.

Millennium Boy, a team of 12 male dancers, will represent Thailand in the 2013 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival next month in South Korea.

The band beat more than 14 teams in the final round of 2013 Cover Dance Festival at the JYP Audition in Bangkok, which was put on last Saturday by Seoul Shinmun, a daily newspaper in Seoul, JYP Entertainment, The Bridges magazine by KTCC, and Major Cineplex Group.

"We are very proud and excited," said Soravis Suebsamran, one of the team members.

The group covered Growl by Exo, a Korean-Chinese boy band.

"We cover songs by Exo because we love their music," he said, adding that for the next challenging contest in Korea they will "do our best and won't let you down".

According to KTCC managing director Hong Ji-hee, the Bangkok audition was held for the third year, and each time new talent has been found.

"This is a stage where those who love K-Pop dance can show off their skills," she said, adding she believed the Thai band would have a good chance at achieving their goal.

Millennium Boy will have to beat winners of K-Pop cover dance auditions from other places around the world such as Japan, Hong Kong, Canada, Russia and South Korea.

The 2013 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival will take place on Oct 5 in Gyeongju, a coastal city located 365km southeast of Seoul.
