Many Western bands have rocked the Thai music scene over the years, and in three weeks J-rock will do the same.

On Nov 19, One OK Rock, one of Japan's most famous groups, will hit the Bangkok stage for the first time at the "One OK Rock Live Tour 2013 in Bangkok", which will be held at CentralWorld Live arena, 8th floor of CentralWorld, at 8pm.

Formed in 2005, the rock quartet fuses different music styles such as rock, emo, and heavy metal into their own, and their sound and frenetic live performance are supported by enthusiastic fans of the young generation.

They have performed at clubs and every big rock festival in their home country. This includes their sold-out live shows at Nippon Budokan in 2010 and Yokohama Arena in 2012.

Their first single Naihi Shinsho (Keep It Inside ) was released in April 2007 and the band have released six albums so far, with the latest one, Jinsei Kakete Boku Wa , having managed to reach second place on the Oricon weekly chart.

The band's line-up comprises Taka (vocals), Toru (guitars), Ryota (bass) and Tomoya (drums). The group have just finished their 2013 Japan tour and embarked on their Europe and Asia tour, which kicked off in Paris last Wednesday.

After their Bangkok concert, the group will perform in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Taiwan.

One OK Rock will perform at CentralWorld Live arena, 8th floor of CentralWorld on Nov 19 at 8pm. Tickets cost 2,600 baht and can be purchased online at http://ticket.avalon.co.th. Visit www.avalon.co.th
