Ukrainian violinist Iryna Krechkovsky and Korean-American pianist Kevin Kwan Loucks will give a duo recital during which they will perform works by Bach, Debussy, Gershwin and Saint-Saens.
Presented by D&M Music Studio, the "Krechkovsky-Loucks Duo" concert will take place at Siam Ratchada Music on Jan 15 at 7.30pm.
The programme will feature Bach's Sonata For Violin And Keyboard In F Minor, BWV 1018; Debussy's Sonata For Violin And Piano In G Minor; Gershwin/Heifetz's Selections From Porgy And Bess For Violin And Piano; and Saint-Saens's Violin Sonata No. 1 In D Minor, Op 75.
The winner of top prizes at numerous international competitions, Krechkovsky has enjoyed an international career in solo, chamber and orchestral performances.
She has been featured at venues from Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall, to the St Lawrence Centre in Toronto, and from the American Church in Paris and to the Moulin d'Ande in Normandy.
She earned both her bachelor's degree and master's degree of music from the Cleveland Institute of Music and is currently pursuing her doctorate in musical arts at Stony Brook University in New York.
Korean-American pianist Kevin Kwan Loucks has also won top prizes at many international competitions. Hailed as a shining talent, he has earned ovations from the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Prosels Castle in Italy, the Kennedy Centre, Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall and Lichtenstein Palace in Prague.
A graduate of the Juilliard School, he is completing his doctorate in musical arts at Stony Brook University where he served as head of piano for the pre-college division.
