Pianist, baritone to perform at Sala Sudasiri Sobha

The Gift of Life Foundation will hold a concert by pianist Parvati Mani and baritone Nicholas Provenzale at Sala Sudasiri Sobha on Jan 26 at 4pm.

The performance is part of the "Sunday 4 o'clock at Sala Sudasiri Sobha" series.

The first half of the programme will feature a piano solo from Schumann's Fantasiestucke and Rachmaninoff's E{aac}tudes-Tableaux.

The second half includes tunes by Charles Ives and Samuel Barber. Selections Aaron Copland's catalogue will end the concert.

Mani was raised in Vienna. She received a bachelor's degree of music from the Eastman School of Music in New York and a master's degree of music from the San Francisco Conservatory. She has performed in the US, Thailand and Japan, and currently serves on the piano faculty at Mahidol University's College of Music.

Provenzale received bachelor's and master's degrees from the Jacobs School of Music of Indiana University. He was a guest lecturer and artist at Burapha University and recently joined the faculty of the College of Music at Mahidol University.

His operatic roles include that of Silvio in Pagliacci, Danilo in The Merry Widow and Dandini in La Cenerentola.

Tickets cost 500 baht. Proceeds will go towards the Gift of Life Foundation to help blood diseases patients. Sala Sudasiri Sobha is located on Lat Phrao Soi 41 Yaek 7-2. Seats are limited.
