Directed by Wichaya Artamat, In Her Views is documentary theatre, which features a monologue battle between the female performers. Provided by the director, the monologues have been taken from various sources and feature both fictional and non-fictional women.

Democrazy Theatre Studio will be an arena where a group of 15 professional actresses will speak of both theatrical and personal experience on and off stage, starting tomorrow March 20.

They include a Karen girl from a local play titled Nai Kwarm Ngiab (In Silence); Lady Macbeth from Macbeth; Kattrin, a deaf girl from the German drama Mother Courage And Her Children; Blanch Dubois of A Streetcar Named Desire; Yingluck Shinawatra’s speech during an interview with TV anchor Sorayuth Suthassanachinda; and an interview with a revolutionary female student who fled Bangkok after the Oct 6 movement.

All of the 15 actresses will have the opportunity to play each of these characters once during the 16 performances which will be staged every Thursday to Monday from March 20-April 10 at 8pm.

They will have to prepare and be ready to play any of the six characters as they will not know which role they will be asked to perform on any given evening. There will be six actresses and one guest actor in each show. The final show on April 10 will see all 15 actresses perform together.Ticket prices vary from week to week. Tickets cost 450 baht (350 baht for students) for the March 20-24 shows, 500 baht (400 baht for students) for March 27-31 shows, and 550 baht (500 baht for students) for April 3-7 shows. Tickets for the final show on April 10 cost 700 baht for first entry and 450 baht for those who watched any of the previous shows at normal prices.
