D&M Music Studio presents a duo piano recital performed by two South Korean pianists — Phoenix Park-kim and Suh Hye-young on May 6 at 8pm.

The programme will include Carlos Guastavino’s Tres Romances Argentinos, Johannes Brahms’s Variations On A Theme By Haydn, Op 56B and William Bolcom’s The Garden Of Eden.

The multi-award winning pianist Park-Kim is an active soloist and avid chamber musician whose performances have taken her throughout the US, South Korea, Taiwan, Italy, Switzerland, Argentina and Russia.

She graduated with a BM in piano performance from Yonsei University in Seoul before she got a Master of Music from Miami University and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Missouri — Kansas City, Conservatory of Music. She’s an associate professor of music at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.

A graduate of Seoul National University and Cleveland Institute of Music, Hye-Young has given numerous solo recitals and has appeared frequently in chamber ensembles at major concert halls in South Korea. She is a professor of music teaching piano performance, piano ensemble and music history at Sungkyul University in Anyang.
