Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Hollywood classics and other compositions under the baton of Londoner Russell Guyver at 7pm on Friday and 4pm on Saturday at Prince Mahidol Hall at Mahidol University, Salaya campus.

The “Hollywood & Elgar” concert will represent master composers for film such as Ennio Morricone and Klaus Badelt, as well as Edward Elgar’s intimate and alluring Enigma Variations.

Works from Bela Bartok, one of the most impactful composers of the 20th century, will also be performed.

Many listeners will recognise the score from the Pirates Of The Caribbean series, but should also plan to be delighted by the enchanting sounds of the pan flute from Ulrich Herkenhoff, one of the premier performers of the instrument.

From contemporary Hollywood to early 20th century rural England, the programme traverses many styles and textures, promising to deliver a rewarding experience for all ages.
