To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of The Viola Lovers group, a concert conducted by National Artist Asst Prof Col Choochart Pitaksakorn at Chulalongkorn University will take place at the Music Hall, at the Building of Art and Culture, tomorrow at 7.30pm.

There will be three distinct launches to commemorate this special event. The first is the launch of The Viola Lovers' own YouTube channel. The channel currently contains 20 video clips featuring Asst Prof Choochart and other members of the ensemble taking it in turn to teach and share musical clips to entertain and inspire other lovers of the sound of the viola.

It has also created its own Facebook page for people in the online viola community to share opinions and find information on the instrument and upcoming activities, and watch new video clips.

The Viola Lovers group has also created a music book entitled The Viola Play-Along, which features musical scores, information on selections from concert series and the Play-Along CD.

All selections to be played in tomorrow's concert are beautiful and memorable, with a mixture of simple pieces and more complicated harmony arrangements.

The Viola Play-Along book contains five pieces from the concert that have been rearranged for the viola and the piano. The musical scores are mainly the same as will be played in the concert, but with minor adaptations in order to suit beginners to upper-intermediate viola players.

The attached CD's special play-along parts will allow listeners to practise until they're able to play the music themselves. The Viola Play-Along book is free and supported by the cultural centre of Chulalongkorn University. The written text can be downloaded in PDF format and the music can be downloaded in MP3 files.

The concert will be preceded by a talk by well-known radio broadcaster and classical music commentator, Borwonpong Supasoponat at 7pm.

There is no admission fee to the concert. Call 02-218-0584.
