BERLIN — An orchestra featuring 100 doctors from 20 nations is planning to hold a charity concert for epilepsy sufferers at the Berlin Konzerthaus in April.

The World Doctors Orchestra plans to give the proceedings from the concert on April 25 to the Michael Foundation, which supports people with epilepsy.

The programme for the concert includes works from Richard Wagner, Antonin Dvorak and Robert Schumann, a statement from the orchestra said recently.

Fifty-five of the 100 doctors in the orchestra come from Germany this year, including Bettina Schmitz, head doctor at the Vivantes Humboldt Hospital and chair of the Michael Foundation.

The orchestra's first concert took place in 2008 in the Berlin Philharmonia.

The orchestra plans to go on tour to the United States, Canada and Barbados in June. A tour is also planned to Thailand and Romania in 2016.
