Amari Koh Samui, led by Ms. Khanoengnit Sangngern (second from right) and Ms. Thadsalak Artonsri, Executive Secretary to the General Manager and CSR Committee (second from left), together with the Executives, Heads of Department and CSR Committee, recently welcomed Ms. Yaowalak Hotarapawanont from the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, and the committee of Zero Carbon Resorts (ZCR) during an official visit and introduction programme. The Project aims to contribute to the sustainable development of the tourism sector and its value chain in the Philippines, Australia, Spain and Thailand with a focus on the reduction of resource consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. In Samui, Amari Koh Samui and its sister hotel, OZO Chaweng Samui, are the only two hotels participating in the programme.

"Energy saving is one of the core values we focus on. We are proud to be part of this project, which will take us to the next level of energy efficiency towards a carbon-neutral operation," said Mr. Ingo Domaschke, General Manager of Amari Koh Samui and OZO Chaweng Samui.
