Scandinavian minimalism

Scandinavian shoemaker Ecco recently celebrated its 10th anniversary of successful operation in Thailand with the opening of its fourth shop on the third floor of CentralWorld shopping complex. The event also saw the world-renown Danish company presenting its Autumn/Winter 2012 footwear collection which is now available at all Ecco shops.

Seen at the opening of the new Ecco shop are Loh Seow Yuen, general manager, Southeast Asia/Pacific, Ecco Singapore Pte Ltd (3rd left); Mads Beyer, charge d’affaires at the Danish embassy in Bangkok (4th left); and Sudthitham Chirathivat, CEO of the Central Group (3rd right), with the models presenting the Autumn/Winter 2012 footwear collection.

Famous for producing casual comfort shoes for nearly 50 years, Ecco's latest collection taps into their Scandinavian roots emphasising a "less is more" philosophy. The collection is described by the label as having timeless appeal, sleek simplicity and functionality. The heels are on-trend thick, round and high, with squared toes. The new colours are dark purple, saffron and amber.
