Cross-industry collaborations are common, but when they involve Christian Louboutin, expect something more glamorous with a dash of red.

Evoking the signature red-lacquered soles of his coveted high heels, the backs of the leather straps have been reddened as one of the design elements for a Reverso with a textured white mother-of-pearl dial, for a collection that marks the 85th anniversary of the timeless watch.

The collaboration between the French designer and Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre is a rare encounter of the two luxury maisons, whose shared visions include creativity and craftsmanship, as well as a penchant for fashioning materials and paying attention to details.

Louboutin worked on transforming the Reverso Classic Duetto. He considered a watch inseparable from its strap as both parts stylishly adorn the wrist.

Like the carapace of a scarab beetle, one model is adorned with an iridescent dial and strap that playfully gleam nuances of greens, blues and purples when tilted towards the Sun.

Another model recalls his popular transparent pumps, with the watch's transparent plastic strap co-ordinating with the mirror-style back dial.

The owners of the limited-edition Reverso watches, however, may have to find matching Louboutin handbag and stilettos to further make a style statement.

The Reverso Christian Louboutin collection is available at Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique on M floor, Siam Paragon.
