If you run a spa or want to learn more about the business from international experts, here comes an event you shouldn't miss, the Thailand Spa & Well-being Summit 2019.

Organised by the Thai Spa Association (TSPA), the summit, with "Sustainability Of Health And Heritage" as the main theme, will take place at Khum Kham International Convention Centre in Chiang Mai on Feb 27-28.

Apart from workshops and networking sessions, the event will feature insightful talks. On the first day, highlighted topics are as follow:

  • "Sustainable Spa And Wellness Trend 2019" by Samantha Foster, director of Destination Spa Management
  • "The Evolution Of Spa To Holistic Wellness In Luxury Hospitality" by Andrea Lomas Gong, head of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok's spa and wellness operation
  • "Sustainable Spa Operation Management" by Wiboon Utsahajit, CEO of Siam Wellness Group, Pakin Ploypicha, co-CEO of Destiny Enterprise/Oasis Spa, Supapan Isarankura Na Ayudhya, senior spa management of Harnn Global, and Taneth Jiraswakedelok, CEO of Divana Spa.

On the second day, more topics will be covered:

  • "Integrative Natural Spa Therapy For Sustainable Health" by Dr Nicha Samantarat, US board-certified naturopathic doctor
  • "Physical & Spiritual Development -- Engaging And Retaining Your Spa Therapists In Emerging Markets" by Dieter Buchner, well-being & people development director of Fusion Resorts in Vietnam
  • "Sustainable Living With Nature And Community" by Jon Jandai, co-founder of Pun Pun Centre for Self Reliance
  • "Beyond Design Thinking" by ML Varudh Varavarn of Thailand Creative Design Centre, Chiang Mai
  • "Online Chinese Spa Consumer Insights & Trends" by Fifi Kao, director and editor-in-chief of Spa China Magazine
  • "Customers' Influential Factors Leading To Service Decision Making Of Spa Through Online Purchase" by Sunai Wachirawarakarn, CEO of arom:D Life spa
  • "Successful Spa Branding: Online vs Offline" by Fifi Kao, Vivienne Tang of Destination Deluxe and Srisongruk Chaiyasit, CEO of SC Quality International.

The announcement of the winners of the Thailand & Well-being Awards 2019 will take place in the evening of Feb 28 at Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa, from 6.30pm.

Categories in the Industry Vote group are "Innovative Spa Treatment", "Creative Spa Design", "Natural Product", "Organic Product", "Spa Product Line: Professional" and "Spa Educator". Categories in the People Choice Vote group include "Spa Brand: Retail", "New Spa", "Traditional Thai Experience", "Amazing Day Spa", "Amazing Hotel Spa", "Amazing Resort Spa" and "Amazing Wellness Centre".

Members and non-members of TSPA are welcome to the summit. Fees are 4,900 baht for the two day's talks, and 1,900 baht for the award presentation ceremony and dinner (dress code applies).
