As a nod to next year marking four decades of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, fashion queen Diane von Furstenberg will also be celebrating the 40th anniversary of DVF's iconic wrap dress with a commemorative collection for autumn 2014, entitled "Bohemian Wrapsody".

A parade featuring 15 dazzling golden wrap dresses in various designs made for the breathtaking finale of a DVF show that took place earlier this year. Furstenberg's wrap dress was inspired by ballerina sweaters and the new collection is a further homage to the revolutionary Ballet Russes, renowned for its original costumes, including long skirts for dancers.

This autumn, the DVF woman is described as a free-spirited dancer, poet and painter and is well-dressed in different variations of the wrap: chiffon dresses with a deep V-neck and a cobalt blue evening gown with a celestial print that pops at the top.

Furstenberg uses graphic prints that move likes waves across garments. The bold prints also feature on big coats that work like an unexpected opulent layering of evening wear. Chic layering also includes shirt dresses or mini dresses worn over flowing pants with colliding patterns.

The ready-to-wear collection comes in colour combinations, such as black, gold and white; and black and white with a burst of poppy red; while Ballet Russes-inspired folklore motifs add even more colours and zest to DVF's autumn outfits.
