Issey Miyake Tokyo, Japan has added new color models to the “W” series, designed by Satoshi Wada, a leading Japanese automotive designer. First released in June 2012, the “W” Series was born in collaboration between Issey Miyake Watch Project and Satoshi Wada, who has worked on many automotive series for the German manufacturer Audi. Although the faces and cases of the watches in the “W” series feature various design elements inspired by automotive dashboard instrumentation and aluminum wheels, the dial reflects the traditional Japanese pursuit of minimalist beauty – efficient, clean and balanced. Full size and mini-size models are available.
“Passion Yellow,” for an active, elegant look, is added to the full-size models, while “Winter Pink,” emphasizing womanly sparkle and distinction, joins the mini-size models. New “Winter Black” models using an urban, monotone coloration are also available in both sizes. Cool and restrained, dynamically vivid, and brightly feminine – these new color models expand the range of choices in the “W” series you can make to add color to your seasonal wardrobe.
