Actor and DJ "Gun" Kantathaworn has laid a counter-complaint against a Bangkok man who accused him of assault and theft in a road rage attack on Wednesday.

Gun, 29, visited Chok Chai police on Thursday to accuse the complainant, businessman Karn Traiampawong, 30, of driving carelessly causing injury, and fleeing the scene.

The two were involved in an altercation in Soi Yothin Pattana in Bang Kapi district on Wednesday. Mr Karn, a marketing manager, said he was driving home about 10.30pm when he pulled out to overtake a slow car in front.

He was forced to pull back into the left lane when he saw a motorbike coming in the opposite direction.

Mr Karn said he carried on and had almost made it home when the motorcycle cut in front of him and forced him to stop.

The motorcyclist, actor Gun, swore at him as he tried to wrench open the car door, which was locked.

He opened the window to talk. Gun, he said, lunged into the vehicle to grab his car keys, and slapped his face half a dozen times. "So you drive carelessly and think you can just flee?" Gun challenged him.

"What is it, you want to make it onto the front pages?" he said.

Mr Karn said he was not aware that he had hit Gun’s motorbike or caused him injury as the actor claimed.

He asked for the return of the keys, but the actor refused, telling him to pick them up from a nearby restaurant. When he found Gun later that night, he again refused to hand over the keys.

Mr Karn, who recognised the actor later after looking him up on the internet, laid a complaint with police. They have laid preliminary charges of defamation, assault and theft against Gun.

In response, Gun visited the station on Thursday to lay his counter-complaint.

He admitted abusing and hitting Mr Karn, but said he acted in the heat of the moment.

Mr Karn’s driving had forced him on to the shoulder of the road. He fell off his bike and suffered minor grazing.

Gun said he took the keys so he could lay a complaint, but Mr Karn alerted the police first, turning up at the restaurant with seven or eight officers in tow.

Gun said he dropped off the keys at the entrance to Mr Karn’s housing estate the next day.

Police have now laid counter-charges against Mr Karn of reckless driving and fleeing the scene. Inquires are continuing.

Complaint over leaked nudes

Actress Jassaya "Aim" Wingket has laid a police complaint after pictures of her lying naked on a spa bed made it onto the internet.

The Channel 7 actress complained to Wang Thong Lang police that someone had shared pictures of her without her consent.

In some shots, she is striking poses in front of a mirror as she takes pictures on her smartphone. The spa bed can be seen in the background. In others, she appears in close-up, lying on the spa bed with her bare rump showing.

Aim said she visited the spa that day with a "pretty" (product presenter) friend. She had admitted leaking the images.

"The spa was full so we split off into separate rooms. She asked if she could borrow my phone so she could open a hot spot and share my Wi-Fi connection," she said.

Aim said she didn’t think much more about it until the pictures, including those she didn’t know about of her lying on the spa bed, appeared on the internet.

She had called the young woman, who admitted sending them to friends.

Aim said she feels sorry for her, but has laid a complaint for the sake of her reputation.

Aim, who has two TV soaps coming out, said she wants to counter public claims that she leaked the pictures herself to drum up publicity.

"I have apologised to Channel 7 for the images. I also feel sorry for my parents, who have to put up with the fuss," she said.

Bongkot ‘Tak’ Khongmalai and her husband, Boonchai Bencharongkul.

Secret admirer raises ire

Actress Bongkot "Tak" Khongmalai has come clean and now admits a secret admirer of her millionaire husband prompted a pouty message Tak left on social media comparing herself to a minor wife.

Tak denies she is having problems with her husband, billionaire Dtac founder Boonchai Bencharongkul, despite the revelation.

The voluptuous actress said a friend recently sent her the Instagram remarks of a young woman who refers to her husband admiringly. The woman claims she has to wait until midnight every night before she can call Mr Boonchai safely so they can talk without Tak’s knowledge.

She said she was initially suspicious of Mr Boonchai, and, feeling put out, left the comment on social media comparing herself to a minor wife.

"Have you ever felt like a minor wife, even though you are legally married?" Tak wrote.

Tak said she promptly deleted the comment, after she questioned her husband and he was able to put her mind at rest.

"Pee Yai [her name for Mr Boonchai] denied knowing the young woman. I think it’s just someone who admires him. He has many fans, as he is a good person," Tak said.

Earlier, Tak claimed she put up the minor wife remark because she was tired of friends in her circle suggesting Mr Boonchai was secretly married to many women.

The couple, who were married in March 2013, have a young son. Boonchai, who is twice his wife's age, has five previous wives and five adult children.

Tak said she was sure Mr Boonchai wasn’t seeing anyone.

"He arrives home punctually every night and sleeps with me. I know when he is at work and when he goes anywhere," she said.

Nathan Oman.

Sparing his boyfriend's blushes

Convicted fraudster Nathan Oman is getting engaged to his boyfriend at a ritzy seaside hotel on Christmas Eve, but to spare his boyfriend's blushes is unlikely to invite any of his well-built Myanmar labourer friends along.

Nathan, who has come out since spending eight months in jail for fraud in 2010, published images of himself and his boyfriend, face obscured, in social media last week as they shopped for an engagement ring.

The former boyband singer said his millionaire lover, who runs businesses in the troubled South, has asked for his hand in "marriage". In the images, Nathan and his friend appear in hats and dark sunglasses. They appear to be shopping in a curio shop rather than a jewellery store, despite his boyfriend’s alleged wealth.

Nathan said the two planned to go public in the New Year. "Don’t ask where we’re getting engaged, as it is for friends and family only," he said. "However, you will get a chance to ask him in New Year — when I will also put those rumours to rest that I have made the whole story up," he said.

Now a product manager for a hotel in Samut Sakhon, Nathan is promoting himself relentlessly as he refashions himself as a hi-so "bride" in waiting. He has previously published images of the pair in bed together.

He served eight months in jail for defrauding a struggling market trader in Loei province of 700,000 baht in 2010, but says his boyfriend believes in giving people a second chance.

Meanwhile, Nathan has some bad news for his mystery boyfriend if he thinks he’s the only boy on the block.

He said his job as a "hotel girl" in Samut Sakhon brings him into contact with many well-toned migrant labourers.

However, his millionaire love has no cause to worry, as he knows where his heart really lies.

"I meet beefy Burmese men through my work every day, and I have to be frank with you, they make my mouth water. But I can’t eat them [have sex with them] because of my image. Even if I come across as an addle-headed kid, I still have an image to protect," he said, referring jokingly to his brief moment of fame as a singer.

"I can’t see them after they finish work, as I need eight hours a day of beauty sleep to keep my face looking taut. Apart from that, I have memorised the line: I have a boyfriend now."
