Danish jewellery brand Pandora has unveiled its winter's jewels, an enigmatic, cosmic-inspired collection.

Inspired by the infinite night skies and their enduring mystery, the cosmos is explored in an explosion of sparkling stones and textured surfaces on sterling silver and 14k gold. Star-studded jewels twinkle brightly on sterling silver cocktail rings, wide band rings, stud earrings and statement pendants. Midnight blue faceted Murano glass charms appear as if sprinkled with stardust. There are also abstract openwork charms in silver or gold which evoke the beauty and fascination of shooting stars and their winding, sparkling trails.

This season also saw Pandora introduce two new local charms. These cute new doll charms are hand-painted to perfection and represent two of Asia's popular cultures, Japan and Korea. The doll charms will be accompanied by a new Chinese doll charm in 2015 to celebrate Chinese New Year. The Japanese charm is inspired by the traditional kokeshi doll, originally a simple wooden doll which represented a wish for a healthy child. Today, the dolls have evolved to become more decorative, with finely painted kimono details, and are now said to ward off evil and prevent fire.

The doll charm features a vibrant red kimono and holds a fan offering a whimsical touch to your charm collection.

The cute and feminine Korean gaksi doll represents beauty and purity in traditional Korean culture. Dressed in adorable pink, the Korean doll charm features the delicate hand applied enamel details which represent century-old craftsmanship.

Dolls in traditional Asian cultures are not only seen as playthings but also hold sentimental value. The Asian dolls symbolise heartfelt meanings and allow the wearer to express their inner hopes and dreams.
