Hermes presents stylish accessories and lifestyle products to please both fashionistas and homeowners this season

SOCIAL & LIFESTYLE

French fashion house Hermes is set to present stylish accessories to please both fashionistas and homeowners this season. The spring/summer 2015 accessories sees the maison bridging its famous equestrian heritage and fashion offering chic, minimalist and colourful accessories that can add style or update any outfit. They are all beautiful objects that reflect delicate craftsmanship and unbridled creativity.

Hermes introduces a new shoulder bag, Cherche Midi, which has a flap front featuring a buckle inspired by the Chaine D'Ancre jewellery, available in two sizes. Also new is the Farming Picnic wicker bucket bag with leather trimmings that makes a perfect summer accessory.

Scarves and shawls in cashmere, wool and silk feature new designs as well as reprints, and come in different colours. The timeless ties in silk twill feature both classic and fantasy patterns as well as stylish stripes and monotones. Hermes has also introduced a Tie Break app to assist men to uncover the perfect Hermes neckwear accessory.

For jewellery, the maison's new minimalist design pieces include bracelets, long necklaces, earrings and rings in silver and rose gold. Each incorporated the brand's iconic horse bit and hoop motif in a simple and elegant way — designed to best compliment the sophisticated yet easy-to-wear spring/summer 2015 collection.

"Must-have" companions for your wardrobe are chic enamelled and calfskin bracelets and bangles, and wrist cuffs in bold shades made of lacquered wood. Hermes bracelets and bangles are handcrafted by one specialist, from the beginning of the process to the end. This season, they come in a variety of cool colours and patterns with widths ranging from a 1.25cm-5cm. Wear several of them at once on both wrists for a modern and chic look.

For watch-lovers, Hermes added two new watches — the Medor Mini in diamond-set steel with smooth alligator strap, and the Arceau automatic in steel with matte alligator strap. The stylish and unique Medor Mini comes with three "Clous de Paris" pyramid-shaped studs. By pressing the crown, the largest pyramid in the centre opens to reveal the opaline silvered dial of the watch, powered by a Swiss quartz movement.

Inspired by the characteristic elegance of horses, Arceau, the most classic of Hermes watches, is a model designed for both men and women. Its asymmetric attachments take their shape from stirrups, with a case designed by Henri d'Origny in 1978.

For home and lifestyle products, Hermes presents Le Parfume de la Maison by Celine Ellena, a luxury collection of five home fragrances. The five scents are presented in three objects designed by Guillaume Bardet. The first, a box of four paper origami horses, are designed to reflect "the international smell of hotels" when travelling. The second is a white ceramic "pebble" that was conceived to scent a limited area, around a desk, for example. There is also a candle, in a matte-white ceramic holder, which comes in five colours with three sizes.

Two surprise items from Hermes this season are the Giant Solitaire game and the sporty Le Flaneur Sportif d'Hermes bicycle. The Giant Solitaire has a 70cm diameter and both the board and 37 Medor-style studs are made of rosewood and mahogany. The versatile Le Flaneur Sportif d'Hermes is a unisex bicycle made from durable and lightweight carbon fibre. An ergonomic handlebar, saddle and carry handle are wrapped in premium leather. The size M bicycle comes with 11 gears for easy manoeuvring and hydraulic disc brakes for maximum safety.
