Ploy's plea, emotional rescue, ticket bicker ends

The estranged wife of singer and actor Peter Corp Dyrendal has urged him to visit home, stop hiding, and tell her where she stands as their marital problems entered a messy second week.

Ployphan "Ploy" Taveerat, wife of the meandering biker star and mother to their two small children, has discussed their dispute for the first time.

She came forward after an attempt to surprise her husband at work ended with her ramming her car into his manager’s motorcycle as the two men attempted to flee the scene.

Asked by reporters last week to declare his stand, Peter said he wanted to keep the matter private but insisted he still loved his family.

The couple’s marital row went public when Ploy published a picture of her and their infant children on social media, asking when Peter was intending to visit them again.

She has been raising them with the help of family and nannies.

Peter, in Bangkok to promote his new movie on the far South which opened in cinemas last week, said he is also busy filming a TV series in which he and three co-presenters tour the provinces on motorcycles.

He admits his visits home are sporadic.

He dodged questions about when he planned to clear the air with his wife, who judging by media reports hasn’t seen him in weeks.

"It’s getting out of control. People are attacking me, the people around me, their families … some of it is not appropriate, because it’s just too strong," he said about internet reaction to news that he is a wayward husband and absentee father.

"I might have to take the advice of friends and alert police that people are defaming me.

"As far as the situation at home is concerned, that’s private. I’d like to talk to the people at home first.

"I do go home occasionally, but I am also busy making my TV series. If you say I don’t love my kids, that would be a big misunderstanding."

The couple’s marital problems reached a head on July 17 after Peter’s wife rammed her Toyota into his manager’s motorbike in a desperate attempt to talk to her husband.

The collision occurred as she swung into their path to stop the pair fleeing after cornering them at work.

Confirming she had hit the bike, Ploy said last week her poor driving skills, and the drama of the moment, were to blame. "I didn’t blow a fuse, but I admit my emotions were not quite normal that day," she said.

While away on his motorcycle travels for his "big bike" TV series, Ride With Me, Peter has been linked romantically to one of his two female co-presenters, Prissana "Annie" Pannyasirinkul.

He has also been connected to a hotel worker in Buri Ram, Bow, who acted as a guide on a recent visit. Images on social media showed the pair getting intimate at a nightspot.

Ploy said she doesn’t like Peter seeing other women, but feels sorry for Bow, as the publicity must be hurting her.

"Even though I haven’t tried to steal someone else’s husband, I am still embarrassed when I leave home and have to wear shades to disguise my face," she said.

Ploy urged her husband to spell out whether their marriage still has a chance.

"We’re not talking, as he’s not willing to come home and clear up the problem. As I result I don’t know what my future is.

"I would like to know why he has fled. I feel as if he is avoiding me.

"I can cope on my own — I’ve been doing it a while now — but I would prefer to go back to being a family like before."

Meanwhile, his co-presenter Annie has taken to social media to bemoan netizens who mischievously edit clips of their travels together to make it look as if she is involved with her co-star.

Annie, who goes into extraordinary detail on how she rides pillion with Peter on his Harley Davidson motorcycle without getting too close, insists they just work together. Sometimes she holds the camera as the pair bike together.

"I just hang on to his waist while the motorcycle is moving. I don’t hug him as there’s a gap between us created by our safety helmets. And, sorry for saying so, but it’s a Harley, so you sit with your back straight," she wrote.

"You don’t have to abandon your weight on the guy in front. You don’t rub your chest against the guy in front either. When you are filming a show it’s not unusual to have someone riding on the back, no matter what sex," she said, pleading with netizens for fairness.

Is Tangmo really back on track?

Actress Pattaratida "Tangmo" Patcharaveerapong claims she is getting over her heartbreak at losing her former fiancee, singer and actor Pakin "Tono" Kumvilaisak, who is wasting no time getting back into life as a single man again.

Two weeks after a well-publicised drama in which Tangmo apparently intended to end her life with a sleeping pill overdose after Tono declared in public they had now parted, Tangmo seems divided over whether she has truly let him go, despite earlier claims she was now learning to smile again.

Tangmo’s heartbreak came into new focus after Tono visited former Star 6 talent show contestant Ratnamon "Grace" Ratchiratham in hospital last week to cheer her up after she suffered a recent accident.

The two are often linked by their fans as a fantasy couple.

The hospital visit set off reports Tono and Grace might finally spark romantically, after Tono declared on social media the pair would be friends forever, as Grace was part of his "family".

He also posted lyrics from a song saying "My eyes are now open, and it was only when you left me that I discovered my true heart", which some took to refer to the end of his two-year relationship with Tangmo.

Tangmo responded acidly on Instagram, saying if she had done such a thing in place of Tono, she would have been swiftly condemned.

"If I had done something like that, I’d be attacked so much I’d have nowhere left to stand," she wrote.

"I am tired of all this.

"If I go to bed early, I’ll get past it faster.

"I can put up with it, because I don’t want anyone to criticise you."

When asked about her remarks a few days later, Tangmo claimed she couldn’t remember the post, and insisted Tono has the right to see who he likes.

"If it was me, I probably would go and visit, if she was a friend, or a younger sister type," she said, referring to Tono’s hospital visit.

"I have to live with the truth these days. I have no right to feel anything towards him."

Morakot ‘Aimee’ Kittisara.

A 'life lesson'

Model Morakot "Aimee" Kittisara is looking on the bright side of the public furore over the 25 tickets she boasted about buying to the upcoming Maroon 5 concert, saying the drama brought her closer to her hi-so fiancée, who has proved his worth in love.

Aimee says she is still recovering from her ordeal after she posted an image of the tickets which she and her friends bought for the concert. She named each of the recipients and asked: "Are we ready?"

She claimed the seats were together, which set off critics’ jibes that the stars had exploited their connections to jump the queue and obtain the tickets unfairly.

Aimee later apologised for the boast, and admitted the tickets weren’t together in one block after all.

One of her friends named in the post, actor Siwat "Cee" Chottichaicharin, was also forced to say sorry, after attacking internet critics who claimed they were pulling strings.

Cee, his girlfriend actress Amy Klinpratoom, and Aimee have now dropped plans to attend the concert, saying they are too scared of the public backlash.

Cee says he has re-sold his tickets, and will donate the proceeds to a good cause.

Aimee said the saga has taught her that fiancee, hi-so James Jirayut, was the right man for her.

The pair announced in January they plan to marry, after James went down on bended knee during a romantic trip to Paris.

"It was the storm before our marriage, a testing time in which James proved his love for me," she said, referring to the ticket saga.

"He said it was an expensive life lesson, and in future I will have to stop spending so much," she joked.
