Hotel skin never looked so good

Hotel skin never looked so good

New luxury spa brand, available at JW Marriott and Hyatt, hits Sephora's shelves for the first time

SOCIAL & LIFESTYLE

With so many disposable hotel toiletries and spa knick knacks on the bathroom shelf, most times we do tend to question the quality. You never really know which ones are any good, but next time you check in to a hotel, one international name to definitely remember and look out for is June Jacobs. Not one to be seen on your typical visit to Watsons, this is a luxury couture spa brand that is only found in the hotel and spa rooms of five-star hotels, such as the Hyatt Group chain. As of now, these antioxidant wonders will also be available in Thai Sephora stores for the first time, allowing yourself to get pampered right in the comfort of your own home. If you've never heard of June Jacobs before, this is one of the contemporary skincare brands that has brought the concept of luxury into spas, back in the days before luxury spas existed.

Founded by its namesake with more than 30 years of experience of working with dermatologists and plastic surgeons in the US, June Jacobs is a skincare line rich with natural ingredients, where botanically-based solutions meet with technological innovations. Drawing from the founder's Mediterranean roots, ingredients found in all products that are used for healing, beauty well-being, soothing, anti-ageing and restoring include a unique combination of six antioxidants, goji berries, grape seeds, pomegranate and various types of teas. Coming from a family of beautiful women where infusing used tea leaves into creams was the norm, among other rituals, Jacobs has resourcefully and successfully bottled generations of traditions into her creams and serums.

It's not the sort of flashy type of brand that uses strong-smelling synthetics, so everything you can smell all comes from the very best of nature. Jacobs' products may be results-driven, but are also formulated in such a way that they offer a sensorial and relaxing spa effect wherever used. Choose from the toners, moisturisers, gels, serums, polishing beads and masks that are packed with simple but potent ingredients such as cranberries, mandarin oranges and citrus.

For our nation's everlasting heat, a revitalising treat that suits all skin types is the Neroli Hydrating Mist. Enriched with neroli oil, which is extracted from bitter orange trees, the mist works not only to hydrate a tired face during the day, but also to stimulate cell regeneration. It can be absorbed through your make-up too, making for a fuss-free and handy refreshment for the face. Only part of the collection is available in Thailand, but for the full-option experience, you can always opt for spa visits to the Hyatt or JW Marriott.

June Jacobs is available at all Sephora stores.
