Like many women in Bangkok, Atchareeya Jirayus knew and loved Harrods shopper bags. But unlike others, she and her husband took a look at the bags _ those featuring the iconic black cab and double-decker bus _ and a business idea sparked in their minds.

"I was not feeling well at the time due to my pregnancy, so I decided to leave my job and looked for something to do on my own. My husband is a graphic designer, so with inspiration from the popular Harrods bag, we thought, if London's iconic black cab can be loved worldwide, why not the Thai tuk-tuk?" said Atchareeya about the start of her brand Tareeya about four years ago.
