From cheekbones and a V-shaped jawline to a more distinctive nose bridge, your blush and bronzer can easily fool the eyes and give you a dimensional face. Contouring the face is easy, and all it takes is the right colour of blusher, highlighter, bronzer and some practice.
You know the rules - use darker shades in areas you want to slim down, and highlighter in areas you want to "elevate". But what if you don't want to buy a bronzer or a dark blush?
If you don't have a dark blush or a highlighter, other things in your make-up bag can come in handy. For example, if you don't have a highlighter, you can use eyeshadow, in pearly and bright tones. This is probably the safest and most sensible choice, since eyeshadow is formulated to use on the skin around the eyes, which theoretically should make it the safest make-up item. Therefore, it should be safe enough to use on the cheeks and jawlines, as well.
