Since its reopening at the beginning of the year, Siam Center has taken back its reputation as the place to go for local and international fashion brands and it reinforced that position by teaming up with neighbouring Siam Paragon from Nov 7-10 to lure leading Thai and Asian designers to Siam Paragon Bangkok International Fashion Week 2013.
The four-day event themed "The Future is Asia" took place at Parc Paragon, where a total of nine fashion shows were held in a huge air-conditioned arena. Leading Thai brands including Flynow, Fri27Nov, Nagara, Theatre and Tube Gallery presented their Autumn/Winter 2013 collections, along with several Asian designers, namely Manish Arora, Melinda Looi and John Paras.
Chadatip Chutrakul, CEO of Siam Piwat Co Ltd, which owns both Siam Paragon and Siam Center, said Asian designers lent an international scope to the event, and that after seven consecutive years the show is well recognised as a world-class fashion experience.
