Lying in a dimly lit treatment room, my eyes tightly closed, I considered the world of Paranee Fongta, a 29-year-old massage therapist born without sight.

As she gently pressed away the tension from my shoulders with a firm but gentle touch, I was overcome by a feeling of deep relaxation, and understood why so many people believe that blind therapists are able to “see” through their hands.
