Flood death toll rises to 281

A total of 281 people were confirmed dead and two people were missing in the floods that have inundated many provinces since July 25, Wibul Sanguanpong, director general of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department, said on Wednesday.

Floods still prevail in 187 districts of 26 provinces, affecting 2,230,016 people.

The provinces are Sukhothai, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Tak, Kamphaengphet, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Singburi, Angthong, Ayutthaya, Lopburi, Saraburi Suphanburi, Nakhon Pathom, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, Ubon Ratchathani, Khon Kaen, Roi Et, Si Sa Ket, Surin, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, and Ratchaburi.
