Children injured in spray of bullets
PATTANI - Three children were injured as suspected insurgents sprayed bullets at several houses in Nong Chik district on Sunday, police said.

A group of men in a pickup opened fired with M16 rifles at the residence of Somkiat Chudet and sprayed other houses in Ban Khok Deepree at 6pm before speeding off, according to the police.
Pol L/C Somkiat is an officer at Nong Chik police station.
The shooting injured four villagers, including three children, they said. One of them was four years old and the other two were 10 and 12. The injured were taken to Nong Chik Hospital.
