Buriram cruise to AFC group stages
Buriram United advanced to the AFC Champions League group stages by beating Brisbane Roar on penalties in a playoff Wednesday night.

The Thunder Castle won 3-0 in a shoot-out at their I-Mobile stadium in Buri Ram following a scoreless draw after 120 minutes of the elimination match.
Goalkeeper Sivaruck Tedsungnoen was Buriram's hero as he saved three spot-kicks from Thomas Broich, Besart Berisha and James Meyer.

Osmar Ibanez, Charyl Chappuis and Jirawat Makarom were on target for the Thai FA Cup champions.
Buriram are making a return to the ACL group phase where they were eliminated in their first appearance in the continent's premier club championship last season.
Buriram are in Group E along with FC Seoul of South Korea, Vegalta Sendai of Japan and China's Jiangsu Sainty. Brisbane will now play in the AFC Cup.
Thai Premier League champions SCG Muang Thong United are Thailand's other side in the group stages.
The Kirins are in Group F with China's Guangzhou Evergrande, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of South Korea and Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds.
