Democrat MP Panyawat dies
Panyawat Boonmee, a Democrat Party list MP, died of cancer in a hospital overnight, it was announced on Wednesday. He was 73.

Democrat deputy leader Alongkorn Polabutr said Panyawat was admitted to a hospital late last year for cancer treatment. He was pronounced dead around midnight.
Panyawat, formerly Prasant Boonmee, was 26th on the party list. He will be replaced by Jurit Laksanavisit, a younger brother of party deputy leader Jurin Laksanavisit.
